Chess set (part 2) final

Hey there,

after a long time without any posts today I present you the final chess set.

As mentioned before, I used Normans, French knights and English footmen from Revell. The queens are from the Italeri medieval challenge set. Also some archers from the Airfix Sherif of Nottingham set might have mixed in.

I hope you all enjoy the set.

Orge Chieftain

This is a Reaper Bones miniature.

At first I thought of using them as a troll for the Orion Dark Alliance series orcs, but then I changed my mind.

So coloured and put to display on a socket, it look's like this:

Trojan guards

This are two bods of the old Atlantic trojan army series.
The bods are a little bigger than modern 1/72 bods from other manufactorers.

I arranged the two bods on a little form referring to the temple guards of the movie "Troy". The scenery shall represent a sandy and rocky coast.

The colour theme might be quite different, but this way I like them more.

As you can see, the quality of the paint job isn't quite well, cause this we're some of my first attempts in painting.

Chess set (part1)

Happy Easter!

I hope you all will have some nice time to spent with your families and friends!

And cause to this special occasion I'm presenting you a special project I'm working on:

It's a chess-set!

This is the "black" part of the game. Though the bases of the bods are brown and not black, I think it will work.

I chosse different kind of figures from different manufactorers for the set. Normans from Revell, bods from the Airfix Sheriff of Nottingham set, the queen from the Italeri medivieval challenge set and the rest from the Revell 100 Years war set of the french knights and the english footmen.

So this is the row with the towers, horses, knights, the queen and the king from the right to the left.

tower and horse

knight and queen

king and knight

horse and tower

The row with the peasents from the left to the rigth.

And again the entire black set.

I hope you can make me suggestions which kind of bods to use for the "white" set.

;)

Prepare for battlestation!

That's what the commander tells his both soldiers.
The spearmen and the archer need to defend this position for the sake of the monastery.

All figures are of the Revell Mongolian horde set.

Sound the alarm!!!!!

This is a dio, in which the guards sound the alarm cause of the invading roman army.

The bods are from different manufactorers. As are: ESCI, Revell and Italeri

The alarm gong and the framework are self made.

Hope you enjoy the pictures ;)

Vikings

As a result of the tv show vikings, I started my interpretation of searching for land in the West.

Apparently the've sailed too far, cause this definitly are no english men!

And as good vikings, that they are, they start a little struggle for welcome.
