Hoplite

Hello my friends,

today I'like you to show a Greek hoplite I painted some time ago. As you can see he's a little bit out of my normal painting scale. It's a 54 mm metal figure from Corsar Rex.
The most diffcult part to "glue" was the two parted spear. All other parts we're quite simple. The bod is pretty well sculpted and pretty heavy due to his material he's made of.

Gift for the Gods

Hello,

finally I can show you my work for the Massive Vodoo Contest 2018.
As seen in the title I decided to make a small little dio called "gift for the gods". There I bought the "Marie Fleur" bod and arranged her in my scenery.
All happens at a beach with temple ruins and the jungle in the background, including the priest (Marie Fleur) and some temple guards .
The dragon or sea dragon is the cut of head from a Schleich toy. Arranged with some beach sand basing material, painted palms and some artifical water, I trhow my hat in the ring. ;)

So with contest deadline has passed, I can show the pics.
You can find all entries on MV Homepage and prapare yourself for fantastic works of the other contest members. They have made fantastic dios!!!!!
Maybe for the next contest I will choose a more professional art of making pictures ;) but only maybe.

Ancient Libyans

here are a few bods of a Caesar set called "Biblical Era Libyan Warriors". The bods are sculpted very well and it's been a pleasure painting them. So here is the first group of them painted:

Persian army part 1 and 2

Hi folks,

after some time I like to present you some first parts of my new planned dio.
It deals with the Persian-Macedonian theme.

Here are the first painted bods of my Persian army:

 

Part 1 contains different parts of the Persian army. There are 4 riders, from the HAT set "Light Persian Cavalry" and some infantry soldiers from the Italeri set "Persian Infantry".
There will be more infantry soldiers by one of the next posts.

Part 2 of my Persians contains a unit of the HAT set of "Persian Light Infantry" which is mostly made of archers and hurlers. The mounted bod is from an Zvezda "Cataphracts" set and is my chosen commander for this part of the army.

More is to come so meanwhile enjoy the pics :)
